Friday Fun!

Since John was at the station on Thanksgiving Day, we decided to have a Friday Thanksgiving at our house. John's brother, Paul and his family, my parents, and my Aunt, Uncle and cousin all came over to enjoy the day. We had great food and lots of fun with one another. My kids love being around their cousins! Poor Hudson is the only boy, but so far, it doesn't seem to bother him! I think he gets extra attention because he is the only boy! We will see how he feels in a few years!

Thanksgiving at Station 7!

John was at work on Thanksgiving so the kids and I headed over to Station 7 for some great food and lots of fun! Unfortunately, just as we were all about to sit down to eat, all the guys were called out to a significant apartment fire! Four hours later, they returned to their Thanksgiving meal! Of course, all the wives and kids decided that we needed to go ahead and eat! We enjoyed it and the kids loved being at the station waiting for all the Firemen to get back! We all had a good time and will go back for the next holiday!

Artwork by Hudson and Reagan

The kids are constantly doing things at school that make me smile! I don't do it often enough, but thought that I would post some pictures of some recent work from school. Hudson loves school and this is just one of the pictures that he recently brought home. The theme at school is "helping hands," and he was asked to draw a picture of one of his friends. He chose to draw a picture of Grace. She is a very cute little girl and we often tease Hudson that Grace is his girlfriend. Sometimes, he says that she is his girlfriend, and sometimes he says that Katelyn is his girlfriend! Watch out ladies! He is learning so much at school and each week that passes, he is better able to draw, write letters, etc. It is crazy how fast he is growing up! Reagan brought this turkey home this week, and I just had to laugh. It reminds me of all the Chick-fil-A ads....I think that she even has the handwriting down! Enjoy your turkey this Thanksgiving...just make sure you pluck the feathers first!

Reagan's Thanksgiving Play

Last Friday, Reagan and the rest of her Kindergarten class put on a "Thanksgiving Play." It was filled with Pilgrims, Indians, and of course, Turkeys! They sang several songs, and had fun playing their part in the play. Reagan enjoyed being a Pilgrim and her friend, Garrett, was a great turkey! It was a lot of fun to see, and I am proud of how well the class performed!

Hudson's Fall Soccer Season!

Hudson's last Soccer Game of the season was last night! He had five goals at last nights game, and numerous goals throughout the season! We always went for ice cream if he scored a goal in the game, and I think we have had ice cream each Wednesday night since the season began! He had a lot of fun this season, and I am sure he will play again in the Spring!

John's Promotional Ceremony

Earlier this week, we had the opportunity to go and participate in John's promotional ceremony. He promoted to Lieutenant in June, however, had a promotional ceremony this week. We were able to go up on the stage, and I was able to change his badge to brass. It was a wonderful ceremony! We are so proud of him and know that he will make an awesome officer!

Let the Trick-or-Treating Begin!

Halloween was super fun this year! Hudson is now older, and is not as shy as he has been in years past! He was ready for some "trick-or-treating!" Hudson wanted to be Captain America this year, and actually kept his mask on the entire time, and used his shield to protect us! He even had a few muscles with the costume! Reagan was Barbie from the movie, "Princess Charm School." She loves being a girly girl and dressing up. She really loved the make-up too! We had fun in our neighborhood, and came home with lots of candy! The candy is now put up so that we can control how much is eaten on a daily basis! We will see how long the candy lasts!
