White Christmas!

One of the best presents we were blessed with on Christmas Day was snow! We had some snow on Christmas Eve several years ago, but never on Christmas Day! It began to snow around 2 PM and didn't stop until much later in the evening. The kids had a blast playing in the snow and throwing snow balls! I'm not sure who had more fun...the kids or John! I think that he really enjoyed throwing snow balls at the kids! We were able to get out in the snow for a while on Christmas Day, and then again the following day before the snow melted. Maybe next year will be another White Christmas!

Christmas Day!

Christmas day started with fun and surprises from Santa! He left a lot of good gifts and left a letter, stressing to the kids the importance of sharing! Do you think that we have been struggling with that? It is so fun to watch the kids open presents and enjoy them. Later, on Christmas day, we had family over to our house, had a great meal, and helped the kids enjoy their new toys!

Santa's Cookies!

The evening of Christmas Eve, we prepared for Santa to arrive. The kids chose three cookies, helped me pour some milk, and left out some reindeer food for the reindeer. Reagan then left a note for Santa letting him know that she had been good this year, and Hudson helped me write a note that simply stated he wanted toys! He also made Santa a rainbow. Reagan was very concerned that Dancer the reindeer might eat all of the reindeer food and not share with the other reindeer, so she had to leave a note about that too! They, of course, had a rough time going to sleep that night, but once they did, Santa was able to make his appearance!

Christmas Eve!

Christmas Eve was a lot of fun! We started the day by having John's brother, Paul, and his family, come over to our house where we exchanged gifts. Paul, his wife, Lydia, and their four girls, Kourtney, Rylea, Racheal and Reese all came to the house. Reagan and Hudson love to play with their cousins! We had a great time opening presents, and then headed out to my parent's house for some great ribs and a fun game of football! Rylea and Racheal were the winners. Next year, a trophy may be needed! It was so much fun to spend the day with family!

Christmas Cookies!

We have a yearly tradition of making Christmas cut-out cookies so that Santa will have some cookies to eat on Christmas Eve! The kids have gotten much better at making them. I have to say that this year the cookies tasted great and looked wonderful! Of course, I don't know how much the kids ate while making the cookies!
