Easter Bunny Visits Nan and Da's

Evidently, the Easter Bunny was quite busy this year! We headed to Nan and Da's house for Easter lunch and found out that the Easter Bunny had left some eggs for Reagan and Hudson to hunt! They were quite excited. Since they live out in the country, there was a lot of room to run and gather eggs! After the initial hunt, we had to take turns hiding and hunting eggs! We ended with a great Easter lunch and spending time with family!

Easter Egg Hunt

After the Easter Bunny left baskets, the kids bolted outside for their egg hunt! We weren't quite sure how Hudson would do, but he definitely kept up with Reagan! They both dashed around outside getting about the same number of eggs each. By the time we had walked inside, Hudson had eaten about five pieces of candy.....We had to take the rest away as I am sure he would have eaten every piece!

Easter Bunny Baskets!

Our Easter Sunday morning started before 7 AM with Reagan wanting to come downstairs to see if the Easter Bunny had left any special treats for her and Hudson. After coaxing her to stay in bed for a few more minutes, Hudson also woke up and we headed downstairs. Much to her delight, she found a purple and pink princess basket for her and Hudson had a fireman basket waiting for him! She, of course, had to try on all of the jewelry that came in the basket! She also posed for a few pictures! Then...the Easter Egg hunt was to begin.....

The Magic of Disney!

Since we normally eat at the Maggiano's at North Park, we decided to take a stroll down to the Disney store. Reagan, of course, was immediately enchanted! There was a magic mirror in the store that Reagan quickly learned how to use. She had to take the wand of her favorite princess and make large circles around the mirror, and magically, her princess would appear in the mirror. The first time she saw it, her jaw dropped and she was smiling from ear to ear. Of course, we had to buy a few things from the store.....John is now starting to wonder how much money are we going to have to save before going to Disney World this summer. It was truly a magical experience and I can't wait to see Disney World this summer!

Maggiano's Night

One of our favorite places to eat is Maggiano's, but we don't seem to get there very often. We have been meaning to get there for some time now, but things kept getting in the way. We decided to make reservations and head over there this weekend. We are so lucky to have Nan and Da live close to us and they are such a huge help! We are truly blessed by them and all that they do for us! From sick kids to simple celebrations, they get to help out and enjoy the kids. Both the kids love being around them, and love to stay with them too! Thanks Nan and Da for all that you do for us! We love you!

Dyeing Easter Eggs!

Dyeing Easter Eggs is so much fun! On Friday, Nan and Da got to keep the kids while John and I worked since daycare was closed for Good Friday. I was able to get off at noon and after much needed naps, we got up to dye some eggs! Hudson, of course, cracked several of the eggs while putting them in the dye and Reagan really just wanted all the eggs to be pink! Both kids are extremely excited to have the Easter Bunny come for a visit and can't wait to hunt Easter Eggs! The day ended with some great pizza...Nan even let the kids eat their pizza on TV trays in the living room!

Hudson's Weed Eater!

Since Hudson had such a rough week last week while being sick, we decided to get him and Reagan a special new toy. The kids got to go with us to Wal-Mart to pick out what they wanted. After much deliberation, Reagan chose a "My Little Pony" that she has to have with her most all of the time, and Hudson chose a new "Junior Weed Eater!" He loves to go out to the garage and look at Daddy's lawnmower, blower and weed eater....Now, he gets to help Daddy with the yard! Too bad that it doesn't actually cut the weeds!

Reagan's Spring Program

Reagan had her Spring Program at school this last week. Her music teacher is wonderful and had a musical/dance presentation for us. It was all based on different animals....Reagan was part of the elephant crew! According to her, the best part was wearing the pink tutu! They sang and danced and had a great time. We got to take part in a family breakfast after the show!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

We are very blessed to have celebrated Daddy's birthday this past Thursday! Although we had an interesting week that included a very ugly stomach virus that hit Hudson and me, we did our best to celebrate. The kids sang "Happy Birthday" and helped him blow out the candles. Daddy's actual birthday included caring for Hudson during the day...not a whole lot of fun taking care of a sick kid, but he did it with a smile on his face! He then had to take care of both the kids the following day when I got the lovely stomach bug! I don't know what we would do without him. He is a wonderful husband and a great father and we are so blessed to have him! We love you Daddy!!!
