Galveston Beach...

We had to make a trip to the actual beach while being in Galveston, so we headed there on Sunday before making the trip home. Reagan, Kennedy, Jaxon and Hudson played and had a great time! We had a great time in Galveston and enjoyed being with our other "family." Thank you to my two best friends for being there for us, and we can't wait for the next trip!

Rainforest Cafe

We went to the Rainforest Cafe on Saturday night to eat. Imagine 14 of us at a table....the kids did great and loved it! Well...Hudson's shy self wasn't too sure about it. He got a little upset at the characters and the animals that began moving in the "rainforest." The food was good and the company was even better! They also have a "Build a Bear" workshop in the restaurant, so of course bear making was done before leaving! Reagan chose a Panda bear and Hudson chose a Camo bear. Each gave the bears a heart, kissed it, and handed it over to the lady to make the bear. They then chose outfits for the bears, and had to give the bears a bath before leaving. They had a lot of fun and we can't wait for our next Rainforest Cafe experience!

Dinosaurs

Moody Gardens also had a great exhibit that included life-like dinosaurs that actually moved and even made noises. The older kids thought it was great, but again Hudson was not so sure. He wanted Daddy to hold him throughout the exhibit...I guess he thought Daddy could definitely protect him more than Mommy!

Moody Gardens

We set off to Moody Gardens on Saturday morning and joined up with the rest of the gang. Mason, Jackson and twins, Carson and Hudson enjoyed hanging out with the rest of the kids...my Hudson was not quite sure what to think of the dark aquarium but finally warmed up. He decided that Kim was a great Mommy too! Although the kids outnumbered the adults, we were all able to keep pretty good control of the situation! We attempted several shots with all the kids, but as you can imagine, I didn't get a single decent shot!

Galveston!

We finally were able to make a short vacation trip with my two best friends and their families. Each time that we have tried this in the past, something has always come up. Now, it takes significant planning in advance to make it happen! This was our First Annual Friend Vacation...hopefully, there will be a yearly one after this! All three families with children totaled a whopping 14! We met in Galveston for a fun weekend! Friday, Reagan and Hudson got to play with Kennedy and Jaxon. The girls were especially excited to see each other. They are 10 days apart in age and play well together. Reagan couldn't wait to play with Kennedy! We started off at the pool on Friday and had a blast!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day Daddy!! We are so lucky and blessed to have a wonderful, loving, and great Father in our lives! Reagan and Hudson love their Daddy with all their heart, and are so blessed to have him! The kids got cards and both "signed" them and then they gave him a present for his Cowboys themed media room. They were very excited when he got home from work so that they could help him open the present and cards. We got to spend a breakfast out and invited Nan and Da to join us. It was a wonderful day. Thank you John for being such a wonderful husband and father!

First Fishing Trip!

We took our first fishing trip on Da's boat this weekend. We tried to get out early and it still got hot fast! I wasn't sure how the kids would do, but they both loved it! Hudson wasn't sure at first and was very clingy to me, so unfortunately, I really wasn't able to take any pictures of him...we started off trying some areas that Da and Daddy had fished in before and didn't have any luck. We then rode for a while and came up on several boats. Initially, no one was catching anything, but then a school of Sand Bass arrived. It became a little crazy as Reagan had her Princess fishing rod with a fish, and Hudson had his Mickey Mouse rod with a fish at the same time! Obviously, due to the chaos, no pictures of the first fish were taken. Reagan then caught several more and was very proud...at least until the fish got to the boat. At that point, she wanted nothing to do with the fish! She said that she didn't want to get "slimy!" We had a great morning and went back and had a fish fry with the fish we caught. Thanks Nan and Da for taking us! By the time we got home, Hudson was already asking for "more fish!"

Dolphins!

We saved feeding the dolphins for the last part of our trip. These are just amazing creatures! We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and can't wait for the next adventure!
