Happy Birthday Da!!!

Last Thursday was Da's birthday! We had a great time celebrating with him. The kids got a chance to put some candles on the cake (we didn't quite have enough, but no one was counting!) and helped him blow out the candles too! Thanks Da for being such an important and helpful part of our lives! We are blessed to have you in our lives, and thankful for it!! Happy Birthday!

Hudson's Spring School Pictures

Hudson had pictures taken at school a few weeks ago. We just got them back this past week. He is growing so big so fast! It is hard to believe that he is already 3 years old! He loves trying to keep up with his sister and anyone older than him! He loves Reagan dearly, but also loves to torment her! He no longer puts up with her making the decisions and lets her know when he is not happy! He is such a blessing in our life, and we are so blessed that God gave him to us!!

Fire Hats!

Hudson had been asking for a "fire helmet" so John was able to bring home a few from the station last week. He also brought home badges to wear too. The kids absolutely loved them! They still take them every day in the car, and put them on during the trip to school. One blew out of the back of the car while I was loading groceries at the grocery store, and you better believe that I was chasing it in the parking lot! They love that Daddy is a fireman and love that he brought something special home for them!

First Swim of the Season!

The kids talked me into getting out our little pool last weekend. It was warm, but the wind was cool, but they didn't seem to notice! They love getting in the water in the evenings. I just hope it doesn't get too hot too fast! I think that they have about out-grown our little pool, but still seem to enjoy it!

Bike Riding 101

Reagan has been wanting to take her training wheels off of her bike for some time now. We decided last weekend was as good as any to try it. We were at Nan and Da's house, and they have a great long driveway to ride. Reagan wasn't so sure after the training wheels were off though! I think that it is going to take a bit more practice before we can leave her side!

Bluebonnets!

We went on our yearly Bluebonnet photo shoot this last weekend as well. As you can tell, I wasn't able to get a decent picture of both the kids together. I was able to get several of each individually. Hudson was too worried about the sun, and was not much in a "modeling" mood. Reagan, however, is always ready to pose for the camera!

Springtime Gardening!

Last weekend, the kids and I (with the help of Nan), planted our outside garden. I would have to say that Reagan did extremely well. She is typically a "girlie girl," however, she had fun playing in the dirt! Hudson also had fun, but was a little scared of the ants. The weekend before, he had an encounter with an ant bed that didn't go well! At the end of the evening, we had several tomato plants, jalapeno plants, strawberry, and basil planted. Hopefully, these wonderful rains will continue and the plants will flourish!

Another Easter Bunny Stop at Nan and Da's House

We had a wonderful Easter Sunday lunch at Nan and Da's house. We always have wonderful food, and too much of it! Luckily, for the kids, the Easter Bunny made a stop at Nan and Da's too! Did I say we had too much candy? The kids loved hunting the eggs and while we cooked, they continued to enjoy hiding and hunting the eggs! We are blessed to have such a wonderful family!

Visit from the Easter Bunny!

We had a visit from the Easter Bunny on Easter Sunday! John had been at the station on Saturday, so we had to wait until he got home on Sunday before we could go outside and see what the Easter Bunny had left! Reagan got a basket full of Princess dress up jewelry, and Hudson got a Spider Man basket full of fun toys. The best part of his basket was the "rocket launcher," that shoots a Styrofoam rocket. I have been hit by this several times in the last few days! Of course, the Easter Bunny also left plenty of eggs to hunt that were fun filled! I think that we have had our share of candy for the year!

Dyeing Easter Eggs!

We started off the Easter weekend at Nan and Da's house dyeing Easter Eggs! The kids, of course, had a lot of fun, and had a lot of dye on them! They couldn't wait to have the Easter Bunny visit!!
