Hudson....

Hudson is having so much fun with anything outside right now! He would much rather being playing baseball, football, nerf ball or riding his bike outside, rather than doing anything inside! Of course, he also likes to toss a few balls inside the house too! Luckily, nothing has been terribly damaged....at least not yet! He had this nerf torpedo and had to put on his batting gloves so he "could catch it better!"

Fourth of July!

This Fourth of July was spent hanging out at the pool, followed by a Texas Rangers game! We had two fly-overs, an awesome flag presentation, and a great National Anthem! They had a great fireworks show after the Ranger game which we all enjoyed. We sat on the home run deck at the game, but unfortunately, no balls were hit to us! Both of the kids are really into baseball/softball right now, so it's fun to go and watch the "big boys" play!

Rough Riders.....

We started the Fourth of July weekend on Thursday July 2 at a Frisco Rough Riders game! Nan and Da came with us, and although the Rough Riders lost, we still had a lot of fun!

New Car!

In late June, we decided it was time for a new car....Of course, the kids thought the Corvette would be great.....Instead we decided on a Chevy Tahoe! It has so much more room and we love it!

Captain Hope!

We have a new "Captain" in the house! John officially promoted on Father's Day to Captain! He worked extremely hard on studying and came out #1 on the promotional exam with a score of 97! We are so proud of him! Congratulations Captain Hope!!

Animals....Animals.....

Some of our most treasured family is our pets! We have had a blast taking care of the new puppies, but still love to play with our "old" animals! Our Golden Retriever, Trooper, is now 12 years old and our cat, Rezzy, is 17 years old! It is amazing how time flies with them as well! We lost Amos last year at the age of 14. Captain and Snickers are continuing to grow and have us wrapped around their paws!

Lumberjacks End of Season Party!

Hudson's Spring baseball season finally concluded in June (we had several make-up games due to weather), and they all celebrated with an end-of-season party! The boys had a lot of fun, and are all playing again in the summer. They are moving up to "coach pitch" and will be younger than any of the other teams.....They will be challenged but will have fun! They ended the Spring season with only one loss, and the Coach presented them all with Championship Rings and a Season Baseball! He nicknamed each of the boys on the team. Hudson was named "Flash!" Coach Ward said that he was so fast running the bases, he was now to be called "Flash!" It definitely put a smile on Hudson's face!!

End of School Awards!!

The end of school was a crazy whirl-wind! Both the kids had an award ceremony with their classes, and each got several awards! We are blessed to have such great kids! It is just so hard to imagine that Reagan will be in 3rd grade next year, and Hudson will be in 1st grade! Let the summer begin!!

Rockwall Smash Softball!

Reagan played softball for the first time officially this season! The team has come such a long way during the short season! Her team, also, had multiple rain outs and just completed the season. We aren't sure if a summer league will happen for her age group, but she is hoping that it will! She had two home runs this season, and has gotten so much better with batting, fielding, and knowing where to go on the field! She is having so much fun playing ball!

Lumberjacks Baseball!

Hudson just finished his Spring TBall.....we had so many rain out games that had to be rescheduled, the season did not finish until last weekend! He had a great time and is on a great team! He will be moving up to Coach Pitch in the summer, and is super excited to play big boy ball! His favorite position to play is catcher.....we will see what next season brings!
