Hanging out at home!

After having plenty to eat, we all got to enjoy some time with Barry and Sheilena. Of course, Hudson had to show Uncle Barry all of his swords. Several sword fights ensued, and Hudson came out the victor! Some good snuggle time and and many hugs were also given during the evening! Thanks for visiting and we hope to see you guys again soon!

Uncle Barry and Aunt Sheilena and the playground!

Uncle Barry and Aunt Sheilena made their way from England for a visit. We were one of their stops, and enjoyed having them! The kids absolutely loved having them, and were so excited that they were coming. They got to stay home from school, and enjoy some time with them at the playground. Swings, running, and monkey bars were only a few things they had fun doing. We also went and had some Mexican food since they can't get that in England!

Roasting Marshmallows!

We had the pleasure of roasting marshmallows at Nan and Da's house last weekend! They have an outdoor pit, but due to the weather, we ended up inside! John got to do the actual roasting and everyone enjoyed the marshmallows!

Medieval Times!

John and I decided to take the kids to Medieval Times over the weekend. Hudson loves swords and has at least four already at home. We brought another one home after the show as well! The kids absolutely loved the show and the food was good too!! Hudson and Reagan were both awe-struck the entire time! Since the show, all we have heard is that Hudson is going to be the Yellow Knight one day and win in swords!!

Happy Valentine's Day!

We had a wonderful Valentine's Day! The kids had a great day at school with a party and then came home to a fun card and a few treats! We had a wonderful dinner and enjoyed each other's company. It was a great day!

American Girl!

We had visitors this weekend! Kim, Kennedy and Jaxon came to visit! The kids were super excited and the girls went out for a shopping trip to American Girl! Kim and I were college roommates and Kennedy and Reagan are only 10 days apart. We don't get to see them as frequently as we would like, but they are like family to us. We had a blast at the store and of course, came home with new dolls. The girl's eyes lit up and shone the entire time we were in the store! It was a great trip and a great weekend!

Valentine's Day Boxes....

The kids needed to make a Valentine's Day box for their Valentine's Day parties this week. After trying to figure out the best way to do this, I decided to simply cover a shoe box with foil, construction paper and some wrapping paper. The kids then did the remaining decoration, putting plenty of stickers on their boxes. I think that the boxes turned out well, and now they can't wait to take them to school for their parties!

Out to eat with the boys....

OK....so, John and Hudson went with some of our friends to eat lunch on Saturday.....Hudson was quite excited when he came home about his balloon and his new picture! According to John, he is simply "raising his son right.." Of course, Hudson is calling it "Scooters" rather than Hooters...I guess that is a blessing, at least for the time being!

Happy Birthday Nan!!

Friday, February 10th, was Nan's Birthday! We were lucky enough to have her spend the evening with us Friday! We got to have fun, and celebrate with a small cake. Nan is such a blessing in our life and helps us out tremendously. The kids absolutely adore her, and love her so very much! Thank you Nan for being such a wonderful Mother, Grandmother and role model for all of us!!
