Happy Thanksgiving!!!

We hosted Thanksgiving out our house this year and with a lot of help, we had wonderful food and a great time! We were blessed to have family here this year including Nan and Da, as well as great Aunt Judy and her family. Uncle Barry and Aunt Sheilena also made it this year! It was a fun filled day for the kids and everyone involved! There was lots of good food and full bellies to watch the football games on television! Prior to our Thanksgiving feast, Hudson fell asleep among all the people in the living room...He just couldn't keep his eyes open! We are so thankful for all of our blessings and enjoyed all of the time that was spent with our family during the holiday!

Reagan Loves Manicures and Pedicures....

I got to pick Reagan up a little early last Friday and we headed to get pedicures. Of course, that turned into Reagan getting a Pedicure, Manicure and flowers on her hands and fingers with blue fingernail polish.....What is going to happen when she is a teenager? Needless to say, she loved every minute of it and we got to have some great Mommy and Reagan time.

Fossil Rim - Giraffes, Reindeer, Zebras...Oh My!

Last weekend, we went to Glen Rose, TX where they are known for interesting dinosaur fossils but also have a great wildlife conservation area called "Fossil Rim." We were invited to go with some friends of ours, Bryan, Amber, Braden and Blake. Fossil Rim is a really great place that allows you to ride along a path through the conservation area and feed the animals that are there. The animals included deer, reindeer, ostrich, emu, and several other variety of wildlife that I can't even name! We were worried that Hudson might be a little scared of the animals, but he was the first to hang out the window trying to feed them! We also learned that giraffes make a lot of slobber!! We had a great time and can't wait to go back!

Bulb suction...aka..."Snot Sucker!"

It's that time of year again...allergy and cold season. Reagan, being the great big sister, was trying to help Hudson with a little nasal discharge the other day. I found her using the bulb suction to try and get Hudson's snot cleared out! I couldn't help but laugh and take a few pictures and then had to have a long discussion with Reagan to make sure that she doesn't do this frequently. I am not sure Hudson would survive the "snot sucker" on a regular basis!

Keys...Keys....Keys

So, right now Hudson loves playing with keys. He can always seem to find them when they are in your purse or when you are trying to hide them in your hands. Some of his favorite words are "keys" and "lock." He puts the keys into the "ignition" of everything he can find. His play car now has a place for the keys to go and he tries to "crank" the car often. He also knows where we keep the keys in the house. We have them hanging just inside the door from the garage. I found him the other day being mischievous....he had taken an empty laundry basket, flipped it over, pushed it into the room where the keys are, climbed on top and found the keys....Too smart for his own good if you ask me. Just make sure that your keys are put up when Hudson is around!!!

Go Rangers....

If you live in the North Texas area, you enjoyed watching our Rangers go to the World Series this year. Unfortunately, they did not win it all, but are definetely doing better than the unnamed football team around that was supposed to do well this year!! Reagan had a Rangers day at school during the World Series and when I picked her up that day, I asked her what she learned. She said, "Antlers up - Go Rangers!" and put her antlers up...

Fall Pumpkin Patch Fun

We also went to the local Pumpkin patch and were able to pick out several pumpkins to decorate for fall around the house. I think that the kids had more fun running around all of the pumpkins than anything else. They both got to pick out several which are still sitting on our front porch helping to make a great fall decoration!

Crazy Eyes!

One of the bests parts of Halloween were the crazy gifts that Reagan received from her Halloween party at school. We are still having to have talks about sharing them with her little brother. The lovely glasses were a big hit, and very cute!

Trick or Treat...

Halloween was lots of fun this year. Both the kids were able to Trick or Treat and loved every moment of it. Initially, Hudson was not quite sure what he was supposed to do, but by the end, we had a hard time going back to the house. Reagan, of course, was a pro and both got baskets full of candy. We are still trying to eat the candy slowly. Hudson doesn't have a huge vocabulary yet, but "candy" and "sucker" are both part of his vocabulary!! We can't wait until next Halloween!

Happy Halloween!!

Halloween at our house means dressing up and heading to get some pictures done! I have been doing this the past couple of years and although I am not convinced that the kids enjoy it, I think that the final product is nice. It gives us a chance to see the kids dress up and use the costumes for more than just one day! Hudson was not very excited about the pictures, but finally came around and gave us a few smiles....Trick or Treat pictures are coming....
