Fall Soccer 2012

Reagan has ended her Fall Soccer season! It was a lot of fun, and she really enjoyed it! We have a great team of girls, and can't wait for Spring Soccer to begin!

Hudson's School Pictures!

Hudson had school pictures at his preschool this fall as well. He is now much more agreeable when it comes to taking pictures! Before, he would be shy and it was difficult to make him smile. Obviously, that has changed! It's amazing to see how much he has grown over the last year, and it is hard to imagine that we are approaching his fourth birthday!

Reagan's School Pictures!

Fall is the time for school pictures! Since Reagan is now in "big school" this was the first time we had to purchase pictures before actually seeing any proofs. I think that it turned out well! It is still amazing to me that she is in Kindergarten! She is loving it, and we are enjoying watching her learn so much!

Pumpkin Carving!

We decided to decorate and carve some pumpkins this year! Usually, we just set out pumpkins by the front door along with the fall decorations, but decided to make it a little more exciting this year. At the store the other day, the kids found some great "potato-head" pumpkin decorations. As you can imagine, Reagan chose the princess and Hudson chose the pirate! They were super easy to decorate and came out very cute. They also found pumpkin carving tools with stencils. Luckily, John volunteered to carve the pumpkins! After a lot of hard work on his part, we have some awesome carved pumpkins! Reagan wanted a Halloween cat and Hudson wanted the face of Spider Man! Both came out looking awesome! I guess this may evolve into a new tradition at the Hope house!

Midway and Rides!

Of course, the kids couldn't wait to play games and ride some rides! We left this until the end of our visit, and we weren't sure that we were going to be able to leave! Hudson is now tall enough to ride the majority of the rides. John and I had to ride one with them, but the remainder they were able to ride themselves. Overall, we had a great time and can't wait for State Fair time next year!

Petting Zoo

The kids loved the petting zoo, as usual! We got to feed goats, donkeys, buffalo, a camel and even a giraffe this year!

State Fair 2012

We made our annual trip to the State Fair of Texas about a week ago! As usual, it was a lot of fun, filled with games, petting zoo, gardening, dog show and lots of fried foods!! We went to one of the dog shows which the kids loved, followed by the gardening center. They want to do this every year. They get to pretend they are farmers, water plants, feed chickens, feed the cows, and get a treat at the end!
