Rides and Games
It wouldn't be the Fair if there were no games or rides.....We saved this part for last. After several dollars spent, the kids got to ride on several rides and played several games. They each came home with two stuffed animals and some fatigue! Unfortunately, Hudson is not quite tall enough to ride the majority of the rides, but I am sure that he will be next year! Reagan, on the other hand, would ride forever....We had a great time this year at the Fair and can't wait for next year!
On The Farm at the Fair....
Each year, there is an opportunity to be "on the farm" at the Fair. Reagan has enjoyed it in the past, and Hudson enjoyed it this year. They have to get aprons on, water plants, plant seeds, feed the livestock and even milk a cow! At the end, they get to ride on John Deere tractors that are kid friendly. They even get paid for their hard work and get to "buy" a snack in the gift shop at the end!
State Fair of Texas!! Petting Zoo!
Every year, we love taking a day to go to the State Fair of Texas in Dallas! This was actually Hudson's first year to go. He made it all the way until we were walking out before falling asleep! Reagan also fell asleep sitting in the stroller on the way back to the car. They both had a great time and were exhausted by the end! Reagan absolutely loves to feed the animals in the petting zoo, and by the end, Hudson was right there with her! He wasn't so sure at first....but he did come around. They have some great animals to see, touch and feed and we are still talking about feeding the animals!

Reagan Swimming!
Last week, Reagan's school had their Open House Week. That means that we were able to go up and meet the teacher and her classmates, as well as come and see her swim during her scheduled weekly swim class. As you all have seen before, Reagan absolutely loves to swim and has learned a lot with Mrs. Laurie and Ms. Katie. She loves swim day and is always very excited to go to swim class. She doesn't like floating on her back as much, but is getting better at it each time! At the end of the class, everyone is able to get into the pool and have "free swim time." She loves to go back and forth with the teacher and have fun with her rather than playing in the shallow end. We hope that she continues to love swimming!

Big Boy Bed!
Well....its official - Hudson is now a big boy! We transitioned him last week from his crib to his big boy bed! He had been getting up frequently in the middle of the night and wanting out of the crib, so we decided to just transition him over to his regular bed. At least that way, we could lay down with him if needed! However, he has been doing great and has been sleeping like a champ! Hudson loves football and already loves to watch it on TV so we decided a sports theme would be the way to go. Reagan, however, likes his bed too! We have a hard time at night making her go to her room to sleep. I have a feeling at some point in the future they will talk us into letting them sleep in the same bed! The only problem that Hudson has encountered is that he is not very good at getting back on the bed if he gets off. Last night, I put a small stool in the room with him and he loved it! He is now able to get on and off the bed without any problems. Hopefully, he will stay in his bed during the night!

Beautiful Fall Day!
We had a gorgeous weather weekend and decided to go down to the neighborhood park on Sunday. Both Reagan and Hudson love swinging and going down the slide. Hudson is finally big enough now that we don't have to be with him every second of the time. We had walked down to the playground area pulling the wagon and then Reagan pulled Hudson back. She was exhausted by the time we got back! We are blessed that both of the kids love playing outside. Hopefully the weather will continue to be this beautiful and we can enjoy it for a while!

Having fun with Corky!
My Grandfather followed us home from Austin after attending the wedding and hung out with us for several days. We enjoyed the time with him as he lives in Mississippi and we don't get to see him very often. He went to Gymnastics with Reagan and made her day by doing that. Hudson also enjoyed time sitting in his lap and being goofy! It was a great visit and hopefully we will be able to see him again around the Holidays!
Congratulations Joey and Janice!
We went to Austin for a beautiful wedding. My uncle, Joey married a lovely lady, Janice. The kids did great during the ceremony and especially loved the reception after the wedding! The kids absolutely loved the dance floor and got to dance with their second cousin, Colby! We all had a great time and can't wait to get together again soon!
